Not only is this an extremely early rifle, it has great history and provenance as well! Before production began, Kimber founder Greg Warne and fellow firearms enthusiast Lou Leonard arrived at the name 'Super America' while on a flight to the Las Vegas gun show. This information is even printed in the booklet 'Kimber Enthusiasts & Collectors Manual' (the booklet itself is not included in this auction).
In gratitude for this contribution, Mr. Leonard recieved this rifle and was allowed to pick the wood, etc. The shipping box is marked with Mr. Leonard's shipping information and a letter (please see last photo) also documents this interesting history. This early rifle has the correct early features found on the earliest Super Americas including no ebony forend tip, the fluted comb on the buttstock, and the round top receiver. Condition is excellent to MINT! There is evidence that the rings (not included) were on and off the bases but otherwise, no finish wear.she apppears brand new!
Chambered for the.22 Long Rifle of course. Perfect bore and action. Comes in the original box that's numbered to the rifle and the owner's manual is included as well. This rifle would have been made in January, 1982.
